SIBUGAY HOSTS REGIONAL POPULATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FORUM
The Office of the Provincial Governor-Population Management Division hosted the Regional
Population and Sustainable Development Forum last July 5-6, 2006 at the Sibugay Grand Plaza Hotel.
The forum was anchored on the theme: ?Adolescent Reproductive Health: A Right and Development Issue?
which was elaborated by guest speaker Deputy Executive Director, Commission on Population Mila C. Ventura
in her keynote speech.
Series of talks on ?Knowing and Understanding our Youth? and the ?Role of LGU?s in Adolescence Reproductive
Health and Youth Development? was shared in by PSWD Officer Cherlita A. Garate and Zamboanga Del Sur?
s Provincial Administrator Rogelio Saniel respectively.
According to Wilfredo Bagonoc, PGO-Population Management Division Chief,
the two-day live in forum was joined by more than 50 population program professionals in Region IX.
A fellowship and business meeting concluded the regional forum activity.
